Karen E. Mossman, 68, of Burlington, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at her home. Born October 16, 1943 in Iowa City, Iowa, she was the daughter of Gerald and Cleda Bragg Cuppy.
On April 14, 1962 she married Paul "Chip" Mossman.
Karen spent her time caring for her family as a homemaker. She often treated her son's friends as if they were family cooking for them. Karen loved raising plants and flowers, gardening, and fishing.
Survivors include, her husband, Chip Mossman, 3 sons; Parrish D. Mossman (Tuesday), Troy W. Mossman (Wendy) and Michael S. Mossman all of Burlington.
Karen is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 4 sisters; Barbara Renshaw (Danny) of Panama City, FL, Sharon Mumme (Walter) of Burlington, IA, Sue Moss (Nick) of Caruthersville MO, and Sandy Jones (Bryan) of Beeb, AR.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister.
A celebration of life for Karen will be Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Church of the Nazarene, with family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Reverends Terry Vance and Bryan Jones will officiate.
A memorial has been established in Karen's memory.
Cremation has been accorded.
