John Lee Storch, 79, of West Burlington died at 6:39 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at Great River Medical Center Emergency Room.
Born November 21, 1938 in Three Rivers, Texas, he was the son of Rinehart Herman and Clara Pauline (Buster) Storch. He married Mary L. Wagaman on November 23, 1966 in Stronghurst, IL.
Mr. Storch graduated from Buda High School in Texas and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a production worker at Champion Spark Plugs/Federal Mogul until 2001, when he retired after thirty one years of service. He attended West Burlington Christian Church and was a member of the Burlington Eagles. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, attending local sporting events, Nascar and high performance vehicles.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; three daughters, Tammy Storch of Washington, IA, Tonja (Brad) Ellerbroek of Burlington, and Teressa Storch-Mims of West Palm Beach, FL; one son Rod (Lori) Storch of Spring Branch, TX; nine grandchildren and 19 ½ great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herman.
The memorial service for Mr. Storch will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Lunning Chapel with Mr. Ned Fry officiating. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Cremation has been accorded.
Memorials have been established for the Burlington Area Alzheimer's Association and the West Burlington Athletic Boosters.
