Thoughts and prayers to Karen's family. She was truly a beautiful person. She always had a smile and kind word to share! May you find comfort and peace in your memories.
We will miss Karen so much, along with all the love she had for others. Dick and family, we share your sadness and feel that emptiness inside that can never be filled. Over 50 years ago Karen became my friend and has never let me down in all those years of friendship. Now Karen is at peace, but she has left us with so many memories, and those are what we will take with us to treasure.
My sincere sympathy to Karen's family. Karen and I shared many great times together beginning in 8th grade through high school. I am truly sorry for her loss. My caring thoughts are with you.

Our sincere sympathies to Dick and the Family. What a beautiful lady Karen was both inside and outside. She had a smile that lit up a room, and she was one of the kindest ladies I have ever met. She never knew a stranger -- only a friend she hadn't had the privilege of meeting yet. We will miss her, and we wish her family comfort and healing.
Karen was a beautiful person inside and out. From the time she spent in Iowa City it really became abundantly clear how truly special she was. She was an individual that when given lemons would make lemonade and keep smiling...she was an inspiration to me. Karen, will be very missed at our class reunions.
Our deepest condolences on your loss, our prayers are with Dick and family.

It's a surreal time. On one hand, I'm relieved her body doesn't have to keep up the constant fight. Her baseline "good" days kept changing and changing. On the other hand, it's unreal that I will never hear her voice, be hugged by her, get calls from her. But the memories will remain. God, she was a good mother, friend, wife, sister. Thank you so much, friends and family, for your condolences and sharing of the kind words and memories.
Dean and I are so sorry to hear of Karen's passing. I have enjoyed knowing and working with Karen at Burlington Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. She was a pleasure to be around. Our condolences to her whole family.
Condolences to Karen's family and loved ones.
Condolences to Karen's family and loved ones. I was a classmate and fellow graduate and remember her as a sweet, funny and friendly young lady. RIP Karen, your troubles and pain are over.
From 8th grade on, Karen and I have been close friends. I loved her dearly. We had many laughs together, got into trouble together and confided in each other. She is at peace now and will be missed by all.
