     -Friends May Call:  Thursday, October 18th from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM in
        Lunning Chapel
     -Family will receive friends:  Thursday, October 18th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in
        Lunning Chapel.
        The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM with the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus
        Honor Guard present.
     -Funeral Service: Friday, October 19th at 10:30 AM in Lunning Chapel
        The Reverends Steve Parker and David Steinle will officiate.
       -Inurnment: Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Iowa at a later date.
        A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
        According to his wishes the body of Mr. Pratt will be cremated following the funeral

Walter Louis Pratt, 81, of Burlington, Iowa, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2007, at the home of his son.

            Born September 21, 1926 in Burlington, he was the son of Charles and Maude Hendrickson Pratt.  On October 7, 1950 he married Maxine Frank.

            Mr. Pratt was vice president of Tabor Burns Box Company, retiring in 1989. 

He was a member of SS Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, and a member of Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Maxine Pratt of Burlington; daughter, Valerie Christensen of Gretna, Nebraska; son, Frank (Monica) Pratt of Burlington; five grandchildren, Erin Christensen of Gretna, Sean Christensen of West Burlington, Dulcie Marroquin of Burlington, Julie Cummings of Evansville, Indiana and Connie (Daniel) Cuellar of Elmendorf, Texas; three great grandchildren, Daniel Jace Christensen of West Burlington and Trinity and Joshua Marroquin both of Burlington; several nieces and nephews and his devoted dog Midge.

His parents and two brothers Robert Pratt and Jackie Pratt preceded him in death.
