Verus “Bebe” Leota Ossian-Morris, 94, of Burlington, Iowa and formerly of Muncie, Indiana died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007, at Burlington Care Center.

            Born June 7, 1913 in Paducah, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Clifford C. and Josephine Cunningham Hiatt. On September 22, 1934 she married Johan “John” Anton Elmer Ossian.  He preceded her in death on May 22, 1980 in Auburn, Nebraska.  She then married Ralph Morris in 1996 and he also preceded her in death.

            Bebe graduated from high school in Muncie, Indiana and attended Omaha University.  She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and was researching and trying new recipes. As the result of strokes; she was placed in Burlington Care Center.

            Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Monroe of Burlington; one son, John Clifford Ossian of Burlington; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

            Her husbands, parents and two brothers preceded her in death.
