            Kenneth E. Lunsman, 64, of rural West Burlington, Iowa died Friday, October 5, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

            Born November 1, 1942 in Mason City, Iowa he was the son of Howard and Beada Kollasch Lunsman.  On September 30, 1972 he married Katherine L. Harms in Spencer, Iowa.

            Kenneth was a graduate of Spencer High School, attended the University of Iowa and Mason City Jr. College and received his business degree from Buena Vista University and attended R.O.T.C. School.  He was a Vietnam Army veteran achieving the rank of captain.

            Kenneth worked in sales at U.S. Cellular, McGregor Furniture, Hy-Vee Floral, and AAL Insurance. He owned his own Coast-to-Coast Store in Heron Lake, Minnesota from 1975 to 1982 and in retirement worked for H&R Block Tax Preparation. 

            He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, serving as president of the Church Council for two years, and a member of American Legion.  He played piano and pipe organ.  As an accomplished organist, starting at age 15, he played for several Lutheran churches in Southwest Minnesota and Northwest Iowa until his move to West Burlington in 1989.  He enjoyed yard work and working on the computer.  Kenneth was very talented and creative in his floral designs, design and interior decorating.

            Survivors include his wife, Katherine Lunsman of rural West Burlington; one son, Kraig E. Lunsman of West Burlington; one daughter, Kristel L. Lunsman also of West Burlington; and two sisters, Beverly Lunsman of Mason City, Iowa and Karen (Lynn) Wee of Spencer.

            His parents preceded him in death.
