According to Mr. Canfields wishes, his body will be cremate following the funeral service.

Wayne A. Canfield, 70, of Burlington died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born April 5, 1935 at Stronghurst, Illinois, he was the son of Homer and Nola Weiman Canfield. On December 31, 1980 he married NellaMae Moore Row at Rockford, Illinois.

Mr. Canfield worked at a casket company then as a security officer at Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison and retired after 19 ½ years at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant as a security guard.

He was a former member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges and enjoyed fishing, the Cubs, Iowa Hawkeye Basketball and Football and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, NellaMae Canfield of Burlington; five sons including Jerry Row of Iowa Falls and Kenneth Row of Burlington; five daughters including Crystal Miller and Kimberly Gilbert of Burlington; several grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Gibson of Cullman, Alabama and Mary Calderon of Burlington; and one brother, William Canfield of Apache Junction, Arizona.

His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
