Edith Maxine Cable, 87, of Grass Valley, California and formerly of West Burlington, Iowa died at 4:20 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2006, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley.

            Born October 26, 1918 in Bonaparte, Iowa, she ws the daughter of Max William and Mary Zenilla Huff DeRosear.  On July 10, 1952, she married Richard Cable in Monmouth, Illinois.  He died September 18, 1988.

            Mrs. Cable was a member of Church of Christ in Burlington.  She was a homemaker.

            Survivors include one son, Rick Cable of Long Beach, California; three daughters, Sherry (Douglas) Kandle of Boise, Idaho, Billie (Alan) Bernard of Grass Valley, and Tina Cable of Burlington.

            Her husband; parents; one daughter, Katherine Floyd; one son, Paul Mellott; and two brothers, Harley DeRosear and Verle DeRosear preceded her in death.
