Michael D. Brunken, 47, of Burlington died at 8:45 a.m.
Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Great River Medical
Center. Born August 15, 1958 in Burlington, he
was the son of Donald Eugene and Shirley Ann
Mosena Brunken. On July 5, 1993 he married
Diane L. Minton in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mr. Brunken was a 1977 graduate
of Burlington High School and worked in
maintenance and as a mechanic for the City of
Burlington, Waste Water Treatment.
He was a member of the Wild
Turkey Federation and enjoyed fishing and
hunting. He was a member of the 1975 BHS
Grayhounds baseball team that won State
Championship and he coached T-Ball and Little
League.
Survivors
include his wife, Diane Brunken of Burlington;
two sons, Travis Brunken and Zachary Brunken
both at home; one sister, Shirley Ann (David)
Milford of Grady, Alabama; two brothers, Jeffrey
(Nona) Brunken and Richard (Donna) Brunken both
of Burlington; four nieces; four nephews; two
great nieces and one great nephew.
His parents preceded him in
death.
Memorials have been established
for Great River Hospice and Travis and Zach’s
education.
According to Mr. Brunken’s
wishes, his body will be cremated following the
funeral service.
