Earl G. Brown, 92, of Burlington died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born July 11, 1913 in Burlington, he was the son of Thomas W. and Clara E. Wolverton Brown. On March 14, 1948 he married Elvina J. Poggemiller in Burlington.

Mr. Brown was of the Catholic faith. He was a veteran of both the US Army serving during World War II and the US Naval Reserve serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked on Line 1 at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for 25 years and was a past member of the Eagles and a member of the American Legion and Civil Defense Auxiliary. He was the floor manager for Kenny’s Roller Ranch for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Elvina Brown of Burlington; two sons, Russell (Mary) Brown and David (Cassandra) Brown both of Burlington; one daughter, Theresa A. Roberts of Beaumont, California; 11 grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Marty Brown, Molly Brown, Christopher Jones, Stacey Roberts, Angela Roberts, Alicia Brown, Michael Brown, Kelly Rice, Trenton Brown and Sabrina Brown; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold (Virgie) Brown of Burlington and Thomas (Karen) Brown of Lubbock, Texas; and one sister, Betty (Wayne) Brown of West Burlington.

One daughter, Anna Brown; his parents; two brothers; five sisters, and twins in infancy preceded him in death.
