            Carol Rae Brissey, 68, of Burlington, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

            Born July 3, 1955, in Keokuk, she was the daughter of Clarence G. and Juanita L. Bailey Poland.  On July 3, 1955 she married Charles E. Brissey in Burlington.

            Mrs. Brissey was a homemaker, collected dolls, enjoyed playing Bingo and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.

            Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Brissey of Burlington; two sons, Charles E. (Athena) Brissey, Jr., of Virginia, Illinois and Jeffrey (Cynthia) Brissey of Yelm, Washington; two daughters, Deb Heater of Burlington and Barbara (Steve) Randall of West Burlington; eight grandchildren, Nick Brissey, Jamie Edwards, Tammy Stephenson, Keyst Heater, Sara Aipperspach, David Randall, Garrett Brissey, and Nick Brissey; three great grandchildren, Kyler Heater, Isabella Edwards and Keyan Heater; five sisters, LaQuita Brown of West Burlington, Delores Witte of Wever, Marilyn McGinity of New London, Karen Belcher of Burlington, and Beverly Myllo of Lakewood; and one brother, Charles Poland of Quincy, Illinois.

            Great grandson, Dawson Stephenson; her parents; brother, Clarence Poland; and sister in infancy, Shirley Poland preceded her in death.

            A memorial has been established.
