Mildred “Millie” Lucille Brewer, 83, of Morning Sun, and formerly of West Burlington, died at 5:03 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2006 at Great River Medical Center.

            Born April 24, 1923 in Carman, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lonnie Richard and Agnes Sullivan Pendleton.  On April 24, 1946 she married Wayne Brewer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Burlington.  He died March 26, 2004.

            Mrs. Brewer was a graduate of Burlington High School.  She worked at both Sylvania and Witte’s Drug Store.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Royal Neighbors and loved to cook, read and work word search puzzles.

            Survivors include two sons, Roger (Diane) Brewer of Northglenn, Colorado and Ronald (Sherry) Brewer of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Rosalie (Ralph) Dean of Morning Sun and Roxanne (Bob) Reeves of Floresville, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

            Her husband; son, Dwight Brewer; and parents preceded her in death.
