Mrs. Louise Pauline (Thye) Behne, 91, of Rosebush Assisted Living in Burlington, died December 10, 2007 at Great River Medical Center.

            Born on April 17, 1916, she was the daughter of Henrich “Henry” and Luise Caroline Berger Thye.  On June 29, 1938 she married Theodore J. Behne.  He preceded her in death on October 6, 1993.

            Louise was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church where she was involved in many church activities.  She worked at the Mod O Day Dress Shop, Sears, Eagles Grocery Store and Hope Haven.  She was also very active with volunteer work.  She loved gardening and some crafts and especially loved being with her grand and great grandchildren.  All who knew her will miss her.

            Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie J. (Gerald Sr.) Wagenbach of rural Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

            In addition to her husband, her son Theodore A. Behne, her parents, three sisters, and eight brothers preceded her in death.

            A memorial has been established.
