Teresa "Teri" Lynn Armitage

     -Friends May Call:  Friday, December 26th, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM in
         Lunning Chapel.
     -Family will receive friends: Friday, December 26th, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM
         and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in Lunning Chapel.
       -Funeral Service: Saturday, December 27th, at 10:00 AM in Lunning Chapel  
         Pastor Walter Reynolds and Pastor Brad Cranston will officiate.       
        -Following the funeral service the body of Mrs. Armitage will be cremated.
         A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
        A memorial has been established Great River Hospice.

   

            Teresa “Teri” Lynn Armitage, 43, of Burlington died at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Great River Medical Center.

            Born November 10, 1965 in Kewanee, Illinois, she was the daughter of John Hawk and Marjorie Lee Hawk.  On May 7, 1988 she married Paul R. Armitage in Mediapolis.

            Mrs. Armitage was a 1984 graduate of Mediapolis High School and was attending Nursing School at Southeast Community College.  She was previously employed as a clerk at Aldi Warehouse.

            Mrs. Armitage was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mediapolis.  She enjoyed crocheting, baking and traveling.  Her family and friends were the core of her life and her boys were very special and meant everything to her.

            Survivors include her husband, Paul R. Armitage of Burlington; two sons, Alex Armitage and Zach Armitage both at home; her mother, Marjorie Lee Hawk of West Burlington; her father and step mother, John and Judy Hawk of Burlington; two sisters, Kathi (Larry) Reynolds and Debbie (Ron) Underwood both of Burlington; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

            Her grandparents preceded her in death.
