   One of the most caring, loving things you can do for your family is to leave detailed information and instructions which will help them make your funeral service a personal tribute in keeping with the way you would wish it to be. Planning funeral arrangements at the time of loss is extremely emotional and difficult for a family. When the funeral, and sometimes, even payment, has been pre-planned in advance, most of the decisions have been made. This will alleviate uncertainty and confusion at a time when emotional stress may make decisions the most difficult.

   Would it be better in your situation to plan ahead calmly and sensibly, when you are in a normal mental and physical state, when you have full ability to reason, and when you are able to discuss arrangements with your family? You may pre-plan every detail of your funeral or cremation. There is no pressure to pay for your pre-arrangement and no obligation or charge to preplanning at Lunning Chapel. Funded pre-arrangements are fixed and guaranteed to cost no more at the time of need. If you decide to pre-pay all or part of your funeral, Lunning Chapel places 100% of your money into an insurance policy with Homesteaders Life Company of Des Moines, Iowa or a trust account at Farmers and Merchants Bank, where it earns interest. Thus, as a protection to you , your money is never a part of our accounts or assets. It remains in an individual trust until needed.

    If you currently have done advanced planning at another funeral home, those arrangements and funds can be easily reassigned to Lunning Chapel. We will do this for you with out you having to personally do any contacting. We pledge to provide those same identical services and merchandise for no additional funding or cost.

    An irrevocable trust is available for those families that need to "spend down" assets to assure there loved ones of funeral arrangements that are paid for and not left as a burden on the family when it is necessary to go on Title XIX.
